Pimples are small inflamed red spots on the face and we all consider them annoying, disturbing, and unappealing. However, the common expensive treatments do not always solve the problem. Luckily, there are some completely natural ways to get rid of pimples overnight, which won’t cost a fortune. Here’s a list of the best and most effective homemade remedies:

1. Baking Soda

In order to get rid of pimples overnight, prepare a paste by combining baking soda with a few drops of water. Then, apply to clean skin and wait until it dries, but not more than 30-40 minutes. At the end, remove the paste with warm water and apply some moisturizer your skin. This remedy is even usable for sensitive skin.

2. Toothpaste

Just apply some white toothpaste on the pimples, but make sure it isn’t based on a gel, before you go to bed. Leave it to act overnight and in the morning wash your face with cold water. If you have sensitive skin you’d better try some other solution because toothpaste can cause itching or burning feeling.

3. Aspirin

Just prepare a paste of a few crushed aspirin tablets with some drops of water. Next, apply some of the paste on the pimples and leave it for a few minutes. You may wash your face afterward, or if you want better results, keep the paste overnight.

The aspirin will reduce the inflammation and the swelling due to its potent anti-inflammatory properties.

4. Garlic

Garlic is a very powerful antibacterial agent and thus it is incredibly efficient in treating pimples, as well as acne. All you need to do is squeeze out the juice from several garlic cloves and dilute with a few drops of water. Likewise, you can mash the garlic in the water and let it soak for 15 minutes. Next, add some Aloe Vera gel and apply to pimples.

5. Cinnamon and Honey

You should do this treatment before bedtime. First, clean your face thoroughly. Then, prepare a paste of equal parts of cinnamon and honey and apply directly to pimples. Leave it to act overnight and, in the morning, wash your face with warm water.

6. Green Tea

First, boil a cup of water and add some green tea leaves, or tea bags, in the water. Wait to cool off for 5-10 minutes. Take a cotton ball or pad, soak it in the green tea, place it over the pimples, and keep it for 10-15 minutes. But, make sure your face is clean before applying the treatment.

Due to the antioxidant called epigallocatechin-3-gallate, green tea will alleviate inflammation, stimulate sebum production, and get rid of the bacteria.

7. Honey

Just apply a little bit of honey directly to the pimples and keep it for an hour so it can act thoroughly. Then, wash your face with warm water in order to dilute and wash off the honey residue. This solution will eliminate any bacteria and provide hydration to your skin. It also promotes skin health and care.

8. Lemon Juice

Squeeze out some fresh lemon juice, dip a cotton swab in it, and apply directly on the pimples. After an hour, wash your face with warm water. Similarly, you can prepare a paste by combining a tablespoon of lemon juice with a teaspoon of cinnamon and apply to pimples. Keep the past for a couple of hours and then wash it off.

Note that this treatment is not useful for people with sensitive skin because it can lead to irritation, dryness, and redness.

9. Ice Cubes

First, take a cloth and wrap an ice cube with it. Hold it over a pimple for a couple of minutes and you will feel instant relief. Similarly, you can put the ice cube in aluminum foil and apply it to a pimple so that you get immediate results.

10. Peppermint

Peppermint has a very soothing and calming effect which can reduce irritation and redness, and also destroy bacteria. All you need to do for this treatment is to crush a few peppermint leaves and squeeze the juice out of them. Then, apply this juice to the pimples, leave it for 10 minutes, and at the end, rinse with cool water.

Another way to use peppermint is to take some peppermint oil and apply a few drops to the pimples, rub, and rinse with cold water.

11. Orange Peel

Oranges are very efficient in eliminating pimples due to their acidity and vitamin C. First, wash your face with warm/hot water so that the skin pores open. Then, rub an orange peel directly to the pimple area. Use different peels for different areas so that you avoid transmitting the bacteria. Next, dip a cotton ball in a freshly squeezed orange juice and apply to the pimples. Keep them for 15-30 minutes and then, wash your face with cold water.

12. Cucumber

Get some fresh cucumber, cut it, and soak it in water for an hour. Strain the water and wash your face with it. Or, prepare a face mask by ground cold cucumber, apply, leave it until it dries for about 15-20 minutes, and rinse with warm water.

Cucumbers are rich in vitamins and minerals and provide a calming and cooling effect, and are also effective for eliminating dirt, grease, and pimples.

13. Tea Tree Oil

First, wash your face thoroughly. Then, dilute a drop of tea tree oil in nine drops of water. Soak a cotton ball in it and apply directly to your pimples. Wait for about 15-20 minutes and wash your face again.

This oil will destroy the bacteria completely because it has potent antibacterial properties. It also removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores, and reduces inflammation and redness.

14. Steam

Just boil some water in a pot, cover your head with a towel placed above the pot. By doing so the pores will open rapidly and all the dirt, oil, and bacteria will be eliminated. Therefore, you will get rid of pimples. Then, wash your face with warm water and apply some moisturizer cream after it is completely dry.
